The company started its activity in the refurbishing and conversion of special machines for the automotive industry. Thanks to the experience gained during the years, to the technical skills and background of our Personnel, as well as to the valuable support of our selected suppliers, we have achieved some important market shares and we present as a CONSTRUCTOR OF MACHINE TOOLS. Today FIMAT operates in a new constructed 3000 sq. mt facility, properly planned and realized for all our design, management, machining, assembly and testing needs. Our staff as a whole amounts to 25 people, most of them wide-experienced and skilled Technicians. A good commercial and service organization allows us to operate effectively both in Europe and worldwide.

Nei primi anni d¿attività sul mercato italiano vi era una vasta domanda di macchine ed attrezzature nell¿industria edile. Vibratori ad immersione erano richiesti ovunque veniva utilizzato calcestruzzo. OLI® aveva presto sviluppato vari modelli di vibratori elettrici ad alta frequenza nonché di vibratori pneumatici e vibratori ad albero. Con diametri da 18 a 150 millimetri l¿azienda aveva creato una gamma che nessun altro costruttore era in grado di offrire. Nei primi anni 80 la gamma fu arricchita di vibratori esterni elettrici e pneumatici. L¿ubicazione dell¿azienda vicino all¿aeroporto milanese di Linate agevolava i clienti stranieri nella verifica diretta in officina del know-how e dei sistemi produttivi di OLI®. Inoltre si potevano rendere conto degli esemplari metodi di collaudo utilizzati sia per il controllo di qualità in entrata che in uscita: motivo di una reputazione d¿alto livello in tutto il mondo. Nel 1998 una nuova fabbrica per la produzione di vibratori esterni fu aperta vicino a Modena. Alla fine del 1999 lo stabilimento di Milano fu chiuso e l¿intera produzione di vibratori esterni e ad immersione fu trasferita nella nuova fabbrica del WAMGROUP a Ponte Motta di Cavezzo in provincia di Modena. Benché la quota d¿esportazione di OLI® avesse raggiunto circa il 70% all¿inizio degli anni 90, rimane ancora ampio spazio in termini di ulteriore sviluppo della gamma e di espansione verso nuovi mercati.

The development of the activity let FIR be a gathering element for other companies and forms a group which, at present, has 4 companies distributed in 5 productive plants which completely cover the production process of the motor: from designing to electric winding, to mechanic working and to the final assembling. FIR group offers its customers design and production capacity oriented to the creation of products which are perfectly adapted to and optimized for the different applications. At present, FIR produces about 700 thousand special motors a year, distributed in a wide range of products for industrial applications, including electropumps, brake-clutch motors, ventilation systems, self-braking motors, explosion proof motors, permanent magnet brush-less motors with respective drive, inverted electric motor with external rotors, special electric machines up to 50 KW and reduction gears. The production of electric motors has also been accompanied by the design and production of electronic drivers for brush-less motors and inverters which have been expressly studied for special applications.
