These characteristics w......Mipot was founded in 1973 to operate in the field of components for the professional electronics sector. The very first product developed by Mipot was a low noise, high stability variable resistor. These characteristics were made possible by using thin-film technology. The experience acquired by this company in vacuum evaporation techniques and photolithography lead to many products being added to those already offered by Mipot. New developments included fixed resistors and precision resistor networks. The company moved to its new premises, which were completed in 1976, and began manufacturing hybrid electronic circuits. During the first part of the 1980s. Thick-film technology was adopted and used alongside thin-film technology. The two different techniques were used in order to manufacture hybrid circuits which were custom-designed to the specifications of its clients. The range of assembling techniques offered by Mipot was therefore completed . This company was now capable of catering its clients every need and request concerning compact size, electrical and environmental characteristics, as well as the chosen encapsulation method for a given product. The decision to adopt this policy proved to be extremely successful and witnessed a sharp increase in demand in both the industrial and professional sectors of the market. The never-ending need to reduce the size and weight of components and electronic subsets resulted in new technological solutions having to be developed, as these components were being used in numerous professional fields, such as aeronautics and airspace engineering, the medical field and many others. In 1982, Mipot responded to these ever-increasing requests by introducing chip & wire bonding for Hi-Rel products and encapsulating circuits in airtight metal containers. In 1985, the company chose to discontinue its range of trimming potentiometers in order to concentrate on consolidating hybrid circuits. Superficial assembling was adopted for SMT printed circuits. A new CAD system was also installed and used to design both hybrid and SMT circuits. At the end of the 1980s, medium power hybrid circuits for professional applications were created by means of using substrates with very low thermal resistance. In 1991. The company decided to enlarge its infrastructures and purchase new manufacturing equipment. As a result, the overall operational space has now come to cover approximately 3.500 sqm of indoor space of which 250 sqm of clean room space used for work requiring very high photolithographic resolution. At the same time, the company began developing and subsequently launched a new range of standard products comprising radiofrequency modules for home safety products, car alarms, gate opening systems and short distance signal transmission. This range met with immediate success. It soon established itself as Mipots main product range and lead to a sharp increase in the companys exports thanks to its compatibility with specific European regulations (I-ETS300- 220). For a number of years now, the R&D department has been successfully developing new products for the field of sensor applications for research centers and transferring manufacturing technology-related know-how.

In 1934, following an important order from an aircraft company, the possibility, at the time almost unobtainable in the Italian market, of manufacturing internal and external grinding machines, was taken into consideration. Therefore the first grinding machines designed and built by Morara date back to 1934. After a short interruption in 1944, because of the Second World War, in 1946 Morara started working again.

With an average age of 33 years and more than 65% of its working force having a high-school leaving-certificate, our real potentials are still unknown.
