With that flagship product, Meadowlark Optics came to be, establishing a world standard for innovative, ultrahigh-quality polarization optics. In the twenty-first century, Meadowlark products help position customers worldwide to pioneer their own innovations. These include our advances in liquid crystals with one-of-a-kind polarization controllers and the Liquid Crystal Stokes Polarimeter. In other areas, we measure our waveplate product line to subnanometer precision. One thousandth of a wave of retardance is our standard. To satisfy our customers’ exacting needs, our work in precision metrology is so fine that, to ensure we could meet production standards, we developed an automated ellipsometer and other metrology equipment. Precision metrology is among our top achievements, and we are proud of being able to meet customer requirements for price as well as technology. Custom retooling of an existing Meadowlark product or creating the new products our customers need are other ways we serve manufacturing and science. Our current work in polarization, as our beginnings with the Pockels cells once were, is steeped in technological possibility that is yet to unfold, and this is why we are committed to our customers.

These are used in a wide range of applications from transport and telecommunications to fire protection and medical instruments. Morgan is listed on the London Stock Exchange in the engineering sector. Morgan Technical Ceramics was formed in 2003 when two former businesses units of The Morgan Crucible Company plc, Morgan Advanced Ceramics and Morgan Electro Ceramics, were combined. The origins of this specialist division date back to 1964 when Steatite & Porcelain Products Limited was acquired from ICI. This company was started in 1929 in the UK, but the investment by Morgan Crucible thirty five years later marked the genesis of the modern-day Morgan Technical Ceramics business. Three further acquisitions in the UK were followed by a major milestone in the early development of the division with the acquisition of Duramic Products in New Jersey in 1986. This heralded the start of the rapid expansion in Morgans advanced ceramics operations in the USA. Morgan Technical Ceramics providing engineered solutions using ceramics, glass, precious metals and other related materials. Continued investment in the US and Europe together with new business ventures in the Far East, soon placed Morgans technical ceramics capability at the forefront of the industry, in a truly global arena. The individual businesses have strong material and/or product brands and these continue to exist within the group identity of Morgan Technical Ceramics. The company has the structure and the capability to work with global businesses at international and national level. Our carriers first charged onto the heavy-equipment scene in 1988, standing up to even the roughest operating conditions. Over years of use and after constant improvements, they developed an enviable reputation for being solid and dependable vehicles. In 1990, Motrec designed its first electric tow tractor, the E-280B , to meet the new demands of just-in-time supply for North American automobile industry assembly lines. In 1993, the company received its UL certification. A new factory was built in 1998, equipped with the latest manufacturing equipment. Management took advantage of this opportunity to integrate the KAIZEN and lean manufacturing concepts into their workflow. These changes allowed Motrec to achieve significant increases in productivity. The production capacity leapt from several hundred to over 2000 vehicles per year. In 2001, Motrec made an entry into the European market, leading in 2003 to the launch of the GT series vehicles, made especially for markets where aesthetics play heavily into the purchasing equation. Throughout its evolution, Motrec has capitalized on every opportunity to improve its product line and diversify its markets, helping its business partners along the way. Today, Motrec offers the most complete range of industrial vehicles and tow tractors in the industry. Take a look down the service corridors of any air terminal, hospital or industrial complex, and chances are you’ll see a Motrec vehicle hard at work. A factory tour might find you comfortably seated in one of our electric shuttles – appreciating your host’s dedication to getting the very best.
