Responsibility is witnessed in our actions, now and for the future. This responsibility commits us towards society, our customers, our employees and our suppliers. The concept of quality is an essential component of our management philosophy and encompasses all areas of business and functions. It is our aim to offer products and services of excellent quality and maximum benefit to our customers. We want to have satisfied customers with lasting trust in our service range, from consulting and problem resolution through delivery and assembly to service. Our customers judgement is the crucial quality standard for us. Essential factors for achieving optimum customer satisfaction consist of determining and subsequently fulfilling the demands on the product or service, which are defined by the customers task and the applicable laws and standards. Optimally recognising and fulfilling these requirements are therefore an essential commitment of all employees and a higher-level corporate objective. Guidelines should determine our behaviour: Providing the best possible product quality (safety, longevity, handling). Intelligible and clear offerings and obligations. Fixed, fair and transparent contractual terms and conditions. Adequate guarantees and services, including consulting and information. Reliable completion of deliveries and keeping to promised deadlines. Research and development work to improve our products. Honest and transparent sales practices. Appropriate, truthful and realistic advertising. Keeping to promises. We give our commercial word.

The companie´s first headquarters was a farm in Gescher. But very soon it was clear that this area would not be sufficient. So already in 1996 TEKA moved to Velen. There a 6,000 qm large property was rented. But after some years also this area proofed itself as too small for the strongly expanding enterprise. At the beginning of 2003 the TEKA-management signed the sales contract for a 20,000 qm large area. From the middle of 2003 until the middle of 20006 production, storage and a part of the administration were accommodated at this site. In 2004 the manufacturing area was already extended by another 300 qm . In September 2006 also the departments located in the technology center moved into the new buildings. In order to present the product range to the national and international customers and for internal trainings for the TEKA staff a large communication and training centre was built in the nearby Borken-Weseke. In November 2008 the first events took place. Two conference rooms and a large permanent exhibition with all TEKA standard products (mobile and stationary) have been installed. So every visitor of the center can easily understand the variety of TEKA products. Since the establishment of TEKA the product range was constantly extended . The first products were suction and filter units for welding workshops. Today TEKA offers an extensive standard program of mobile (3 of them BGIA approved) and stationary filtering units and accessories. Also oil mist separators, high vacuum systems, cutting and welding benches, oxyacetelene cutting tables and central filter units belong to the delivery program. According to standard each equipment is available in different designs and sizes. But also individual solutions and the planning of large projects are no problem for TEKA. A large range of protective curtains and soundproofing elements is also available to complete the product programme for welding workshops. TEKA offers also devices for laser- or soldering jobs (e.g engraving, stamp-production, dental and medical technology, electronic industry, hospitals, dermatologists, restorers, hairdressers, laboratory technology). According to standard also these units are available in different sizes and designs. But also individual solutions are frequently realized. Since 2003 TEKA offers also solutions for large size printer (plotter) working with solvent inks. Suction and filter units for plotters were so far hardly used, since the exhaust of the pollutants developing particularly from these large size printers is very difficult. TEKA uses highly effective activated carbon, particularly sensitized to allow the maximum possible adsorption capacity. Since the foundation in 1995 TEKA increased from first 3 to in the meantime more than 100 employees. TEKA´s success is rooted in having motivated employees who identify with the company and products. To achieve this, TEKA sets great store by providing its employees with initial and supplementary training. All employees are given regular training aimed at keeping up with the latest trends in modern-day engineering. Particularly the Technology and Sales Department (in Germany and abroad) were strongly supplemented in the past years. A structured allocation of the sales areas, as well as close co-operation with considerable trading firms in Germany ensure that each customer receives optimum consultation. Very soon after its foundation TEKA began to contact distributors in other European countries. Since 1996 there exist close business connections to the Netherlands, since 1997 to Austria and since 1999 to Great Britain. Today TEKA co-operates successfully with large trading companies in nearly all Western European countries. In Poland, France and Spain own TEKA emplyees are working. A large assistance to the partners are TEKA brochures and price lists available in the respective national languages. Today TEKA also regularly supplies to north and Eastern Europe, into the USA, to Australia and Eastern Asia.

In the course of the following decades the young company developed into a leading seal manufacturer, with a number of branch operations and production facilities being established in and outside Germany in spite of fluctuating economic conditions. However, the end of the Second World War also meant the end of the Dresden era. In July 1945 Feodor Burgmann Jr. was granted a new operating licence with which he set about re-establishing the company at new premises in Seeleiten on Lake Starnberg in Bavaria, and in 1951 he relocated company headquarters to Wolfratshausen. 1962 saw the commencement of development and production of mechanical seals, followed by expansion joints in 1965. The setting up of subsidiaries in the USA, Brazil and Switzerland in 1977 constituted the first steps towards internationalization, after which Plant 2 in Eurasburg was built in 1981. In 1993 Burgmann acquired a majority interest in the Scandinavian KE Group, and in 1998 took over the Italian BT Group and Gustav Espey GmbH in Duisburg/Germany on a 100% basis.Today the Group comprises over 50 subsidiaries, joint ventures and affiliated companies worldwide. In the course of 120 years since its founding, Burgmann has played a decisive role in developing seal technology, and throughout that time its concentration on seals as core business activity has guaranteed the company’s success. Since March 2004 Burgmann is one of ten independent operative business groups in the german Freudenberg Group, Weinheim and forms together with Eagle Industry Japan a worldwide alliance (EBI) for sealing technology.

A small but beautiful solution that became the driving force and direction to the future orientation of the company. And even today AIRTEC is pursuing the same goals: the production of high-quality and technically ambitious products well beyond normal standards. And where better to pursue those goals than deep in the south of Germany, the home to production since the very beginning? This was where the companys owner, Dirk C. Dammann, who still directs it today, found the ideal conditions and the skilled employees necessary to evolve the basic range into successful and innovative products. He is now supported by a team of more than 140 employees at two German locations. From simple pneumatic controls to customer specific solutions incorporating the latest electronic technologies AIRTEC offers a comprehensive product range. A high degree of flexibility enables the company to react quickly and efficiently to meet customer’s requirements in ever changing market conditions. Quality as a philosophy Clients from all industries – from the standard machinery and processing industries to robotics, high-tech machine tools, aerospace and semi conductor industries– put their trust in AIRTEC quality. The underlying idea behind what we do is to offer the user high-quality products – in a timely manner, without complications, at market-oriented prices. In order to work to the highest standards in every respect, a pervasive quality assurance system was introduced throughout the whole company. Our specialists are selectively provided with in-house and external training. In production too the standards set are high:the CNC machining centers are kept up to date at all times and have to prove their efficiency day after day in a gruelling round of inspections. No product leaves AIRTECs premises without passing stringent quality tests. Not only do we rely on our own quality safeguards, but also on external assessments. That means we tested and optimised our procedures very early on. A sound and growing fund of expertise was essential for certification to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, which we have had since 1994 and which is continually audited by accredited companies.
