The China National Space Administration released images of Earth and the Moon taken in orbit by the planetary exploration mission Tianwen-2 probe on Tuesday (July 1).

According to China News Service, the released images include a photo of Earth taken when the probe was approximately 590,000km from Earth and a photo of the Moon taken when it was about 590,000km from the Moon. These were processed and produced by researchers after being transmitted back to the ground.
