Recently, the 15 MW doubly-fed onshore wind turbine bearing housing and base castings, independently developed by Dalian Huarui Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dalian Heavy Industry"), were successfully completed off the production line. The products passed all customer inspections and acceptance checks in a single round, marking their official delivery. These castings will be used in the world's largest single-unit onshore wind turbine generator set currently available. This achievement also signifies that Dalian Heavy Industry has made a key technological breakthrough in the field of large-megawatt onshore wind power castings.

The 15 MW onshore wind turbine platform delivered this time adopts an advanced modular design, with power output flexibly adjustable within the range of 13–16 MW, enabling adaptation to complex wind farm resource conditions in different regions. The rotor diameter of the turbine covers 240–260 meters, compatible with tower configurations of 135–190 meters in height, and the maximum swept area reaches 53,000 square meters, placing the overall performance of the unit in the world's top tier. Ultra-large castings impose extremely high requirements on material properties, casting processes, dimensional accuracy, and internal quality. The smooth acceptance and delivery of the products fully validated the company's R&D and manufacturing capabilities in ultra-large wind power castings.

The trend toward larger megawatt capacities in wind power has become a major industry direction. In response to market upgrades and iterations, Dalian Heavy Industry, leveraging its accumulated R&D expertise and relying on its intelligent production line for high-end wind power components, has taken an early lead in the ultra-large wind power casting segment. To date, the company has completed prototype development and batch supply of the full series of 3–18 MW wind power castings, and has also successively completed trial production of 20+ MW-level castings for four leading OEM customers. With continuous optimization of mass production processes, the company now possesses stable batch delivery capabilities.
