On August 21, the 115,000-ton product oil tanker independently developed and built by China was officially delivered to its customer. The vessel, constructed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation, features localized core equipment such as the ship's engine, with cargo capacity, speed, and fuel consumption indicators all reaching internationally advanced levels.

The 115,000-ton product oil tanker delivered today has an overall length of 249.8 meters, a molded breadth of 44 meters, and a full-load cargo capacity of 115,000 tons, capable of transporting approximately 830,000 barrels of product oil in a single voyage. With strong port adaptability, it can dock at most major oil ports worldwide, serving trunk routes in international energy trade.

The vessel's core equipment, including the engine, has been localized, and it is equipped with high-efficiency propellers and energy-saving devices to effectively reduce fuel consumption during navigation. The ship is fitted with advanced desulfurization and denitrification systems that significantly reduce sulfur oxide, nitrogen oxide, and carbon emissions, meeting the latest environmental emission standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Latest data shows that global tanker orders saw explosive growth in 2026, with China securing over 80% of new global tanker orders. Domestic shipyards hold full order books and have achieved standardized, serialized batch production, with production schedules extending to 2030. In the first half of this year, China's three core shipbuilding indicators—completed output, new orders, and orders on hand—all hit record highs, accounting for 62.2%, 82.3%, and 71.2% of the global total, respectively.
