The SAM system represents an advanced automation solution that builds upon individual equipment automation in fully-mechanized mining faces. By employing anthropomorphic techniques, it extends human visual and auditory perception to the working face, relocating operators from hazardous mining areas to safer roadway control centers, in order to achieve the goal of "reducing the number of workers" or even "unmanned mining" in the working face. This integrated control system features: Centralized monitoring hub with multi-sensory integration (video/audio/Ethernet).
