The currently developed T4003 ferritic stainless steel features ultra-purity, fine grain structure, and micro-alloy strengthening, with excellent strength, corrosion resistance, weldability, and formability. Supplied in coil form as annealed and pickled, it is primarily used for key plate components such as side walls, end walls, and floors of railway freight cars. The application of this low-carbon, low-chromium, cost-effective stainless steel in vehicles can effectively extend service life and significantly reduce maintenance costs.
