The front end of wireless transmission typically involves point-to-point optical signal transmission, where three sets of optical modules between the antenna and the base station in the fronthaul segment of all networks require three pairs of fibers for signal transmission. To save fiber resources and accommodate the capacity expansion of 4G base stations alongside 5G integration (NSA), a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system is employed in the fronthaul system to achieve rapid deployment of 5G fronthaul networks. In this system, a single-core fiber is used to enable real-time transmission of multiple signal groups between the antenna and the base station.
