The GW5-40.5 outdoor AC disconnector is suitable for 40.5kV, 50Hz power systems. It is used for no-load switching of high-voltage lines, as well as electrical isolation of high-voltage equipment under maintenance (such as busbars and circuit breakers) from energized high-voltage lines. It can also be used for making and breaking small capacitive or inductive currents.
