The globe valve is a type of shut-off valve that controls the opening and closing of pipelines by utilizing the disc moving up and down along the centerline of the valve seat channel. Globe valves are suitable for use on steam, water, and other pipelines as opening and closing devices. They are generally not recommended for media with high viscosity, containing particles, prone to coking, or easy to precipitate. Globe valves can only be fully open or fully closed and should not be used to regulate the flow of media.
