Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable, and non-combustible gas at normal temperature and pressure; under low temperature and high pressure, it liquefies into transparent liquid carbon dioxide, and upon depressurization and vaporization, it absorbs a large amount of heat and can be used to produce dry ice.
