Since ultra-pure ferritic stainless steel does not contain nickel, its production cost is significantly lower than that of 300-series stainless steel. At the same time, because the C+N content in the steel is reduced (less than 200 ppm), the corrosion resistance and processing performance of the steel are significantly improved. Generally, 439 and 443 are used to replace 304, and 445 is used to replace 316L.
Applicable standards: American standards ASTM A240/A240M, ASME SA 240/SA240M; Japanese standards JIS G4304, JIS G4305; Chinese standards GB/T 24511, GB/T 4237; European standard EN 10088-1.
Product features
High purity, stabilization, alloying, low cost, excellent formability, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance; 2D/2B grain size of grade 6–8 as tested according to the E112 standard; mechanical properties and corrosion resistance indicators reach the international advanced level.
Application areas: mainly used in elevator panels, escalator decorative panels, architectural decorative panels, automotive exhaust systems, building roofs, curtain walls, heat exchange tubes, water systems, and other application areas.
