The precipitation measurement radar detects clouds, water vapor, aerosols, wind fields, and other related elements to study the formation process of precipitation and monitor heavy precipitation in severe weather systems. It can perceive precipitation intensity changes of 0.2 mm/h in the Earth's atmosphere, detect drizzle-level precipitation intensity, provide three-dimensional structural information of precipitation, enhance the detection performance of precipitation elements, and support the improvement of precipitation weather forecast accuracy.
