HXN5B AC Drive Diesel Locomotive

The HXN5B AC drive diesel locomotive is suitable for marshalling, shunting and short-distance transfer operations at large and medium-sized marshalling yards. The locomotive features excellent performance, good economy, environmental friendliness, strong applicability, good maintainability and high reliability.

Excellent traction performance: High tractive effort: the locomotive's maximum starting tractive effort is 560 kN, continuous tractive effort is 540 kN, and continuous speed is 18.2 km/h; fast starting acceleration: when hauling 5,000 t, the locomotive accelerates to 10 km/h within an acceleration distance of 43 m and an acceleration time of 37 s; it accelerates to 20 km/h within an acceleration distance of 172 m and an acceleration time of 68 s.

Good economy: Low diesel engine fuel consumption: the fuel consumption rate is 198 g/kW·h under rated conditions and 196 g/kW·h under part-load conditions; low locomotive auxiliary power: cooling water system control parameters have been optimized, and new technologies such as ventilation volume controlled by traction motor temperature have been adopted; low energy consumption in standby state: the diesel engine can be shut down in standby state, and batteries are used to supply power to locomotive living facilities and auxiliary equipment; extended service life of wear parts: a high-performance dynamic braking device is adopted to reduce wear of brake shoes and wheel treads.

Environmental friendliness: The locomotive adopts technologies such as electronically controlled fuel injection and high pressure ratio variable nozzle turbocharging, and is equipped with the company's independently developed R12V280ZJ diesel engine, meeting Tier II emission levels.

Strong applicability: Excellent working environment: designed in accordance with standardized cab specifications, equipped with complete and well-performing living facilities; strong operational capability: a large fuel tank is adopted to improve the locomotive's continuous operation capability; 1,250 mm diameter wheels are adopted, fully meeting the requirements for hump operation.

Good maintainability: Modular full three-dimensional design is adopted, simulating the disassembly and assembly process and space of components. Components are easy to disassemble and assemble, with good accessibility.
