Structural Design:
Dry-type transformers for solar photovoltaic applications can be categorized into 10kV and 35kV products.
The 10kV products have a moderate voltage, making the insulation structure easier to manage. Therefore, our company designs them using a traditional dual-winding dual-split structure, where two low-voltage windings are axially split, and the two high-voltage windings are arranged axially. During the casting process, both sets of windings are combined into a single winding, with the electrical configuration allowing the two sets of windings to be connected in parallel and brought out as one. For the 35kV products, due to the higher voltage, we ensure that the windings have good electrical performance, such as low partial discharge and lightning impulse performance. Our design involves special structural treatments for the low-voltage windings (for which the company has applied for a patent). With this structural treatment, the high-voltage winding can be made into a single winding, reducing the number of turns in the high-voltage winding. Consequently, both the segment and layer counts of the high-voltage winding are decreased, leading to a more uniform internal electric field distribution within the winding.
