As a key project of the entire line, the Jinxiangshan Tunnel has resumed normal construction, with 56% of the tunneling task completed. The remaining 475 meters have entered a critical stage. For the Xinghuayu Tunnel, the longest on the entire line, cumulative progress for excavation, invert, and lining has reached 57%, 52%, and 46% respectively. It is expected to achieve breakthrough in January 2027. The Xintengzhou Tunnel is focusing on key points, overcoming difficulties, and securing critical milestones, racing against time to accelerate progress. It is projected to achieve breakthrough in October this year.

In terms of bridge construction, the Tengzhoudong Beam Yard, the largest in Shandong Province, is responsible for the prefabrication and installation of 1045 simply-supported box girders. Seizing the crucial opportunity post-holiday to resume work, the beam yard has completed 38% of prefabrication and 37% of installation. The installation tasks in the direction of Jinan are expected to be completed by July. Construction on the remaining 20% of the continuous girder for the Panghe Super Major Bridge crossing the S103 Jinan-Zaozhuang Line is being accelerated, with closure planned for mid-April this year.

Furthermore, preparatory work for resuming construction has been fully completed for several control projects of the Jinan-Zaozhuang High-Speed Railway. These include the relocation and caisson sinking for the 220KV Longgang/Longxing power lines, the construction of the continuous girder rotating over the Yanshi Railway, and the embankment filling for the Tai'an East Station. This groundwork lays a solid foundation for the steady progress of the project.

As of now, 6 out of the 18 tunnels along the Jinan-Zaozhuang High-Speed Railway have achieved breakthrough, and 30 continuous girders, including those crossing Guangming Avenue, have been closed. The entire line has entered a phase of large-scale construction. In the next step, the project team will anchor on the annual targets, optimize resource allocation, and make every effort to improve the quality and accelerate the pace of project construction.

The newly built Jinan to Zaozhuang Railway is located in the central and southern part of Shandong Province. The line starts from Jinan City, passes through Tai'an and Jining, and reaches Taierzhuang District of Zaozhuang City, with a total length of approximately 268.564 km. This includes 263.314 km of newly built main line and 5.25 km utilizing the existing constructed section at Qufu East Station on the Luneng High-Speed Railway.

The project is part of China's medium- and long-term railway network plan and serves as an important tourism corridor within Shandong Province's "Eight Vertical and Six Horizontal" high-speed rail network. It is designed for a speed of 350 km/h. The entire line will have 10 stations: Jinan East, Licheng, Nanshan, Tai'an East, Ningyang East, Qufu East, Zoucheng, Tengzhou East, Zaozhuang South, and Taierzhuang.

Construction officially commenced in December 2023, with a duration of 4 years. It is scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by December 2027.

Upon completion, it will interconnect with the Rizhao-Lankao High-Speed Railway, Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway, Jinan-Qingdao Passenger Dedicated Line, and Jinan-Binzhou High-Speed Railway. It will effectively link the cultural and tourism resources known as "One Mountain, One River, One Sage," becoming a rapid corridor connecting the provincial capital economic circle and the southern Shandong economic circle. This will inject new and powerful momentum into the economic and social development of Shandong and even China.
