Next Decade is currently constructing three trains at its Texas facility with a total annual capacity of 18 mtpa, with the first LNG production expected to commence next year. The additional trains will further expand its global LNG supply capacity. Train 4 is supported by 20-year commercial agreements with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), TotalEnergies, and Saudi Aramco, with an annual production of 4.6 mtpa. Train 5 is based on 20-year agreements with JERA, EQT Corporation, and ConocoPhillips, with an annual production of 4.5 mtpa. These long-term offtake agreements provide stable market demand assurance for the project.

The advancement of this project will help enhance U.S. liquefied natural gas export infrastructure to meet international market demand. Next Decade stated that the construction of these trains will comply with regulatory requirements to ensure timely project completion. As global demand for liquefied natural gas continues to grow, the expansion of the Rio Grande facility will further solidify the United States' position as a major LNG exporter. Upon commissioning, the project will provide more energy supply options for the international market while also creating job opportunities and economic benefits for the local community in Texas.
