Wedoany.com Report, On March 12, China Aba County Shudao Clean Energy Co., Ltd. announced the list of candidates for winning the bid for the preliminary design phase survey and design service of the 100 MW solar thermal power generation project in the Aba Prefecture Aba Maikun "Solar Thermal + Photovoltaic" Integrated Power Generation Demonstration Project (Phase I). The first-ranked candidate is: the standing director unit of the Solar Thermal Alliance — China Power Engineering Consulting Group Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as: China Energy Engineering Group Northwest Institute).

According to the tender announcement, the work for the 100 MW solar thermal power generation project part of the Aba Prefecture Aba Maikun "Solar Thermal + Photovoltaic" Integrated Power Generation Demonstration Project (Phase I) includes the preparation of the preliminary design report, special topic design, related consulting services, on-site services, etc. The preparation of preliminary design documents for the solar thermal part shall comply with the requirements of relevant specifications, regulations, and standards such as the "Regulations on Content and Depth of Preliminary Design Documents for Solar Thermal Power Plants" (DL/T 5573-2020). Conduct financial evaluation and social impact analysis for this project (Phase I) combining the 900 MW photovoltaic and 100 MW solar thermal power generation; provide renderings; prepare the construction tender bill of quantities, and other tasks. Complete internal and external review of the project's preliminary design (undertaking conference organization and related costs). The overall project schedule (tentative): planned commencement date is June 1, 2026, and planned completion date is December 31, 2027.

According to previous reports, the Aba County "Solar Thermal+" 2,000 MW project is located in Maikun Township, Maierma Town, and Anqiang Town, Aba County, Aba Prefecture. It is led by Shudao Clean Energy Group, jointly promoted with CGN Wind Power Co., Ltd. and PowerChina Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited. Aiming to build Sichuan Province's first large-scale solar thermal power generation empirical demonstration project, the total investment is approximately 9.2 billion yuan. The planned total installed capacity is 2,000 MW, to be implemented in two phases. Phase I will construct a 100 MW solar thermal power generation project and a 900 MW photovoltaic power generation project. Phase II will construct a 100 MW solar thermal power generation project and a 900 MW photovoltaic power generation project, simultaneously supporting a centralized clean energy heating station. The project will innovatively adopt a multi-energy complementary model of "solar thermal energy storage for peak shaving + photovoltaic power generation," and simultaneously construct a clean heating system that can meet the needs of 500,000 square meters of buildings in Aba County town, achieving multi-faceted integration of power generation, peak shaving, heating, and livelihood security. Upon completion, the project is expected to provide approximately 3.84 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, comprehensively meeting the county's clean heating and production/living electricity needs. It is estimated to create employment for over 1,500 people, significantly enhancing the local government's fiscal "hematopoietic" function, and injecting lasting momentum into the green transformation of the plateau county's economy and social harmony and stability.
