Wedoany.com Report on Mar 16th, Domino Printing Sciences recently launched the Domino Cx150i direct inkjet printer, which utilizes vegetable oil-based ink and is specifically designed for secondary packaging coding in the food, beverage, and general manufacturing industries. This printer aims to reduce waste in the packaging process, improve recyclability, and minimize environmental impact.

The Domino Cx150i direct inkjet printer simplifies secondary packaging by directly printing codes, eliminating the need for adhesive labels and backing materials. The application of vegetable oil-based ink replaces traditional toxic and harmful inks, helping to enhance the environmental performance of packaging.
The printer features an optimized footprint, reduced maintenance requirements, and improved operational efficiency. Ink efficiency, print quality, and industrial performance have all been enhanced, offering significant cost savings and a lower total cost of ownership compared to labels and legacy systems.
David Edwards, Product Manager at Domino Printing Sciences, stated: "The Cx150i is a powerful direct printer at an affordable price. It provides significant cost savings compared to label solutions and boasts strong environmental credentials: vegetable oil-based ink, minimized waste, and no requirement for factory air."
The Domino Cx150i is equipped with advanced connectivity features, enabling integration with factory MES and ERP systems for remote monitoring and operational optimization. When combined with Domino's R-Series vision solutions, it can provide end-to-end quality assurance.
Last year, Domino also introduced the K300 inkjet printer and the Dx-series CO2 laser coder, offering advanced variable data printing solutions for life sciences manufacturers. At the European Label Expo, the company showcased the N410 digital LED inkjet label press, designed to provide cost-effectiveness for label producers.
Label company Inessens installed three Domino K300 printers at its plant in Cognac, France, to help its customers comply with EU wine labeling regulations. These initiatives reflect Domino's efforts to drive technological innovation and environmental practices in the packaging industry.
