Wedoany.com Report, On March 12, China's Zhejiang Weiming Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. announced that a consortium led by the company, the Weiming Nusantara Energy League Consortium, has successfully won the bidding for a waste-to-energy project in the Bogor area of Indonesia.
The project was tendered by Indonesia's sovereign investment fund PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), with a planned construction scale of a 1,500-ton-per-day grate furnace waste incineration and power generation facility. The project cooperation period includes approximately 2 years of construction and 30 years of operation after commercial operation begins.
The announcement indicates that this project is the second of its kind won by Weiming Environmental Protection in Indonesia, following the Bali project. The company stated that this successful bid reflects progress in its market expansion strategy in Indonesia and will help promote the overseas application of China's solid waste treatment technology and operational management models. Upon implementation, the scale of the company's domestic waste treatment business will further expand, potentially enhancing its comprehensive competitiveness in the environmental protection sector.
However, the announcement also notes that this project will not have a significant impact on Weiming Environmental Protection's 2026 operating performance, and its positive effects will gradually manifest in future business development. Currently, the company has only received the Letter of Award; subsequent steps require signing formal joint venture and cooperation agreements, with specific terms subject to the final signed agreements. The company will fulfill its information disclosure obligations in accordance with regulations based on the project's progress.
