Wedoany.com Report on Mar 17th, The Ministry of Energy of Argentina has officially approved PV La Perla's K'itilipi Photovoltaic Solar Park, located in the province of Chaco, to enter the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) as a generation agent. The project has an installed capacity of 15 MW and will connect to the Argentine Interconnected System (SADI) via the 33 kV K'itilipi substation, under the jurisdiction of the Provincial Energy Services Company of Chaco (Seccheep). This authorization is confirmed by Resolution No. 65/2026 published in the Official Gazette, marking a significant advancement for Argentina in the renewable energy sector.

According to the resolution, the Wholesale Electricity Market Management Company (CAMMESA) will charge PV La Perla for potential additional costs caused to other market agents, as well as penalties resulting from the possible unavailability of the transport technical service provider related to the plant's connection to the system. These charges may be applicable during seasonal periods. The Ministry of Energy noted that CAMMESA, through notifications in February 2024 and January 2026, has confirmed that the company meets the technical and documentary requirements necessary for MEM management.

The Environmental Impact Study for the K'itilipi Photovoltaic Solar Park was approved on October 2, 2025, by Disposition No. 512-5-255 from the Undersecretariat of Environment of Chaco Province. The application for entry into the Wholesale Electricity Market was published on February 26, 2026, with no objections received within the stipulated period. The plant is located in the town of Colonia Uriburu and must complete the corresponding equipment to meet the requirements of Annex 24 of the "Procedures" regarding communication systems, commercial metering systems, and real-time operation systems.

PV La Perla is also promoting other solar projects in Chaco Province, including the recently approved 20 MW Tres Isletas Solar Park for entry into the Wholesale Electricity Market. These projects contribute to the diversification of renewable energy in Argentina and support the stable operation of the Wholesale Electricity Market.
