Wedoany.com Report-Dec 31, The integration of Hungary's MÁV Group is set to conclude by 2025, consolidating its operations into a more centralized structure intended to simplify management processes.
The reorganization of MÁV reduces the group's management layers and restructures its subsidiaries into four key entities, each assigned distinct responsibilities.
The new structure comprises:
MÁV Railways Ltd., responsible for fixed-track infrastructure.
MÁV Passenger Transport Ltd., overseeing both rail and bus passenger transport services.
MÁV Service Center Ltd., managing IT systems and operational support.
MÁV Zrt., coordinating the activities of the three subsidiaries and overseeing the group’s overall strategy.
This revised organizational model, set to take effect from January 2025, introduces a simplified and more transparent operational framework.
As part of this restructuring, leadership roles within the subsidiaries have been confirmed. Dr. László Kormányos will serve as the CEO of MÁV Passenger Transport Ltd., supported by deputy CEOs Katalin Kazai, Lóránt Laskay, Zsolt Szarka, and Lajos Fajcsák.
At MÁV Railways Ltd., Réka Németh remains CEO, with deputy CEOs Marianna Széles and László Pósalaki supporting operational oversight.
Zsolt Hegyi will continue as CEO of MÁV Zrt., with Gábor Dányi as Deputy CEO and László Reich appointed as an additional Deputy CEO.
These appointments, effective from January 1, 2025, are indefinite and align with the company's revised structural objectives. The integration aims to centralize decision-making and optimize resource allocation across the group's operations.
