en.Wedoany.com Reported - On May 20, Qianxun Intelligence and D-Robotics officially announced a strategic cooperation. Both parties have completed the deep adaptation of Qianxun Intelligence's open-source embodied model Spirit v1.5 with D-Robotics' Sunrise S600 high-computing-power platform for embodied intelligence, and will jointly create a high-performance, mass-producible integrated software and hardware solution for humanoid robots.

The core technical anchor of this cooperation is the system-level integration of software and hardware. Spirit v1.5 is China's first open-source Vision-Language-Action (VLA) foundation model whose comprehensive performance surpasses the international benchmark Pi 0.5, featuring general task execution capabilities and cross-scenario generalization advantages; the Sunrise S600 is D-Robotics' flagship high-computing-power chip launched for the embodied intelligence field, boasting 560 TOPS (INT8) of AI inference power. The combination of a large model on top and high computing power below enables robots to complete the closed loop of perception, reasoning, and motion control directly on the device side, without relying on cloud computing power for remote processing. This significantly reduces task response latency while solving the key deployment barrier in industrial and home scenarios where cloud connectivity is impossible due to network instability or data privacy requirements.

Founded in January 2024 and headquartered in Hangzhou, Qianxun Intelligence is an embodied intelligence company focused on building a "universal brain" for robots. Founder and CEO Han Fengtao studied under robotics academic luminary Academician Ding Han and previously served as Co-founder and CTO of Luoshi Robotics, leading the delivery of over 20,000 industrial robots. Chief Scientist Dr. Gao Yang graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences at Tsinghua University and Director of the Vision and Humanoid Robot Laboratory. He is one of the "Four Berkeley Returnees," and the ViLa model he proposed was previously used by Figure in the top-level planning module of the Figure 01 robot.

In just over two years since its establishment, Qianxun Intelligence has cumulatively completed over 3 billion yuan in financing, with an investor lineup including leading institutions and industrial capital such as Shunwei Capital, Yunfeng Capital, Sequoia China, and JD.com. In February this year, Qianxun Intelligence completed nearly 2 billion yuan in financing; in April, it completed another 1 billion yuan in financing, with its valuation exceeding 20 billion yuan. In the same month, the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with JD.com to engage in deep collaboration on consumer product customization, technical cooperation, and retail scenario deployment, with its self-developed Moz robot already fully integrated into JD MALL's smart retail scenarios.

D-Robotics officially spun off from Horizon Robotics' AIoT division for independent operation in January 2024, with its predecessor traceable to the robotics business unit formed by Horizon Robotics around 2018. The company is chaired by Horizon Robotics founder Yu Kai, with CEO Wang Cong having previously led Horizon Robotics' AIoT business for a long time. As of April this year, D-Robotics' cumulative chip shipments have exceeded 5 million units, serving over 400 robotics enterprise customers including Ecovacs, Narwal, Insta360, Fourier, and Accelerated Evolution, as well as over 100,000 developers. More than 70% of domestic embodied intelligence enterprises have adopted its chip solutions.

In April this year, D-Robotics completed a $150 million Series B2 financing round, with investors including industrial and capital giants such as Didi and Gaorong Ventures, bringing its publicly disclosed total financing to over $370 million. The company plans to launch three new chips, including the Sunrise 7, by the end of this year, utilizing advanced domestic manufacturing processes and targeting flagship industry standards.

The deep-binding partnership between Qianxun Intelligence and D-Robotics, based on the "open-source model + high-computing-power chip" model, is essentially an attempt to build a replicable and scalable underlying technical solution during the window of opportunity before the humanoid robot industry chain solidifies. When models and chips are pre-adapted, downstream OEMs can directly integrate this solution without needing to start model adaptation work from scratch, lowering R&D barriers and time-to-market. The core contradiction currently facing the embodied intelligence industry is no longer the leadership of a single algorithm or hardware parameter index, but rather how to advance cutting-edge models from laboratory demonstration and verification to batch delivery on the production line. The cooperation between Qianxun Intelligence and D-Robotics directly addresses this proposition—whoever first completes the full closed loop from "model" to "chip" to "mass production" seizes the starting position for the large-scale deployment of embodied intelligence.
