Wedoany.com Report-Feb 20, Sentinel Midstream's Texas GulfLink deepwater crude oil export terminal has received approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration for its deepwater port license application. The approval concludes a multi-year review process that took into consideration comments from multiple federal and state agencies and the public.

The Texas GulfLink terminal, located off the Texas Gulf Coast, will cater to Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) and set a new standard for crude loading efficiency. It is expected to reduce costs, improve vessel traffic, and reduce air emissions. Additionally, it will employ state-of-the-art vapor recovery technology to improve its environmental profile.

The approval aligns with President Trump's executive order to promote American energy exports and will help ensure that the world looks to the United States for its energy supply. The terminal's president and CEO remarked that the approval is a testament to the hard work and expertise of the Sentinel team and that Texas GulfLink is now well-positioned to capitalize on strong market interest.

Texas GulfLink will now focus on satisfying the license conditions and working with relevant agencies to bring the project to fruition. As the only independent deepwater export terminal project, it is uniquely positioned to offer shippers tailored commercial solutions with competitive market rates and terms.
