Wedoany.com Report-Oct 24, LNG containment system leader GTT has been awarded a service contract on Eni’s Coral Sul FLNG vessel off Mozambique.
Eni is the operator of the Coral Sul FLNG project on behalf of Area 4 partners ExxonMobil, CNPC, Galp, KOGAS, and Mozambican national company ENH.
The FLNG is located in the Rovuma Basin off the coast of Mozambique and has a production capacity of 3.4m tonnes of LNG per year. With a storage capacity of 238,700 cu m and equipped with the GTT’s Mark III membrane containment system. The FLNG delivered its first cargo in November 2022.
Under the agreement, GTT will provide technical support services to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the LNG storage tanks on board the Coral Sul FLNG. These services include on-site and remote technical assistance, on-site testing, inspection, emergency assistance, engineering services, and specialized training programs.
According to the company, GTT’s support is to ensure the continued operation of the FLNG while maintaining the appropriate level of safety throughout the project life cycle.
