en.Wedoany.com Reported - BetterCloud has announced the launch of its next-generation AI-native platform, designed to help enterprises address the governance and cost control challenges posed by generative AI and autonomous agents. The platform integrates SaaS management, governance, and AI oversight into a single solution, providing IT teams with visibility and control over complex SaaS environments.

As enterprises widely adopt generative AI and autonomous agents, IT teams face increasing management complexity. Currently, the average enterprise manages over 100 SaaS applications, while the rapid proliferation of AI copilots, large language models, and embedded agents across business systems and cloud environments has outpaced IT departments' ability to control them. According to a survey of 2,000 C-level technology executives by the IBM Institute for Business Value, 77% of organizations reported that AI adoption has exceeded their current governance capabilities. 70% of surveyed executives noted that business teams deploy technology faster than IT departments can track, and two-thirds of respondents stated they are accountable for AI systems over which they lack full control.

At the core of BetterCloud's next-generation platform is the BetterCloud IT Agent, an intelligent AI agent that allows administrators to interact with the environment through natural language. Built specifically for IT operations, this agent understands an organization's SaaS, cloud, and AI landscape, enabling teams to execute tasks conversationally while maintaining human oversight through a human-in-the-loop model. The platform also introduces several foundational innovations, including Data Explorer, a unified data layer supporting advanced reporting, compliance evidence creation, and cross-platform analysis; Activity Hub, a centralized event log providing a complete audit trail of human and BetterCloud IT agent activities, along with AI-generated error analysis and remediation guidance; Granular Access Control, offering role-based governance and fine-grained permissions for users and BetterCloud IT agents; and the New AI-Native User Experience, where administrators and BetterCloud IT agents collaborate through a dynamic card-based interface.

BetterCloud President Raj Kunnath stated that over the past decade, enterprises have struggled with SaaS sprawl, and now they face AI sprawl. The deployment speed of AI agents has outpaced organizations' ability to track or govern them, and the next-generation platform extends the governance foundation into the AI era. Product and Engineering Head Harshan Aravindakshan noted that BetterCloud is transforming from a zero-touch automation platform into the daily command center for modern IT, with the AI-native IT agent combined with a SaaS lakehouse and deterministic workflow engine helping organizations automate repetitive tasks while keeping administrators in control.

BetterCloud developed the platform in collaboration with over 20 enterprise design partners and early adopters. A network support lead at a corporate education company stated that the platform is a massive force multiplier, with AI capable of reviewing conversation histories of complex multi-step offboarding chains and restoring users to their original state through simple natural language requests.
