SJVN to Develop 1,800 MW Pumped Storage Project in Chhattisgarh

Wedoany.com Report-Mar 17, SJVN has signed an agreement with the Government of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) to develop the 1,800-megawatt Kotpali Pumped Storage Project (PSP).
In a statement, the company said the Kotpali PSP is an off-stream closed-loop type pumped storage project located in Balrampur District, Chhattisgarh. With an installed capacity of 1800 MW, the project is expected to generate approximately 3967 million units of electricity annually.
Around INR 9500 crore will be invested in the project which is anticipated to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for around 5,000 people during the construction and development phases.
