en.Wedoany.com Reported - During the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC Shanghai), the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) announced the latest results of the Open Telco AI Benchmark, and held the inaugural Open Telco AI Workshop & Hackathon and the award ceremony for the Telco Troubleshooting Agentic Challenge. China Telecom's network large model ranked among the global top three and first in China. Its joint team with Huawei won the championship in the Telco Troubleshooting Agentic Challenge and secured third place globally in the Open Telco AI Workshop & Hackathon.
GSMA launched the Open Telco AI Benchmark in September 2025, covering core tasks such as telecom knowledge Q&A, network log analysis, and mathematical reasoning. It is regarded as the most representative international evaluation system in the global telecom AI field. This evaluation attracted 88 top models from around the world, and China Telecom's network large model was the only Chinese model to rank among the global top three. The relevant achievements were showcased on a dedicated screen in the GSMA official exhibition area.

Based on model capability evaluation, GSMA's Telco Troubleshooting Agentic Challenge extended the evaluation dimension from "model capability" to "agent deployment capability." The event attracted 1,400 developers worldwide, focusing on real network fault scenarios and requiring a full closed loop from fault root cause localization to automatic resolution. The joint team of China Telecom and Huawei won the championship in this challenge.

The concurrently held inaugural Open Telco AI Workshop & Hackathon was GSMA's first international event focused on telecom agent evaluation. The event focused on the design and capability verification of agent evaluation tasks in real telecom business scenarios, bringing together 12 teams and over 80 developers from around the world. The China Telecom participating team won third place globally.

In the future, China Telecom will continue to deepen cooperation with GSMA and global industry partners, actively participate in the Open Telco AI Benchmark, agent evaluation systems, and international standard development, promote the large-scale application of artificial intelligence in the communications industry, and provide support for the intelligent transformation of global operators.
