en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Russian Ministry of Agriculture (Минсельхоз) stated that the country's grain harvesting is accelerating. The average yield is 44.5 centners per hectare, 1.5 times higher than the same period last year.

The Ministry noted that the high grain yield this season is mainly attributed to the use of high-yielding varieties and hybrids, high-quality seed materials, rational application of mineral fertilizers and plant protection products, as well as the promotion of modern agronomic techniques.

Although some regions are still affected by weather factors, harvesting progress is normal; as crops gradually mature, the pace of operations will further accelerate. The Ministry predicts that the harvest will fully meet domestic demand, helping to maintain stability in the grain market and preserve Russia's high export potential for grain.

Industry experts forecast the 2026 grain harvest to range between 135.6 million and 142 million tons (above the 10-year average), with wheat production expected to be between 87.6 million and 95 million tons.

According to data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Росстат), the total harvest of grains and leguminous crops on all categories of farms in Russia in 2025 amounted to 141.2 million tons, an increase of 12.1% year-on-year; the oilseed harvest reached 34.4 million tons, up 13.8% year-on-year.
