en.Wedoany.com Reported - Italian aerial work platform manufacturer Platform Basket recently delivered a Spider 54T tracked spider lift to the Scottish market. This equipment has a maximum working height of 54 meters and a maximum load capacity of 400 kg (at full working height), accommodating up to four operators. It is currently the only self-propelled spider lift that maintains a 400 kg load capacity at full height.
The Spider 54T is the largest model of spider lift from Platform Basket, first unveiled at the GIS exhibition in Italy in October 2023. The equipment weighs approximately 23 tons and features an eight-section synchronized telescopic main boom and a four-section articulated jib. The dual telescopic articulated arm design significantly enhances efficiency in high-altitude operations. In addition to its aerial work functions, this model can be optionally equipped with a 1,000 kg lifting winch, allowing it to serve as a mobile crane at a height of 54 meters.
Platform Basket, headquartered in Reggio Emilia, Italy, is a family-owned enterprise specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of aerial work platforms. Its product line covers a full range of spider lifts with working heights from 9.6 meters to 54 meters, meeting diverse needs from confined space operations to large-scale infrastructure maintenance. The Spider 54T is primarily designed for telecommunications tower maintenance, power transmission line repairs, and high-altitude operations in complex terrain conditions.

This delivery to the Scottish market marks the further expansion of the Spider 54T in the UK market. With its exceptional 54-meter working height and stable 400 kg load capacity at full height, the equipment will provide new technical solutions for high-altitude operations and infrastructure maintenance in Scotland.
