Mirion Wins Contracts For Sizewell C Nuclear Power Plant In UK

Wedoany.com Report-Oct 31 , Mirion Technologies has secured two significant contracts to provide advanced radiation safety solutions for the Sizewell C nuclear power station, a new 3.2GW project in the UK.

The contracts support the construction of the project, which will power six million homes.

Mirion Technologies group president Loïc Eloy stated: “We are excited to be a part of the Sizewell C project, a pivotal development in the commitment to a sustainable energy future for the UK.”

The first contract, awarded in October 2024, is for the supply of electrical penetration systems – essential for the secure passage of cables through the containment walls of the reactor.

These systems provide a reliable seal and ensure uninterrupted electrical circuits, even in unexpected situations.
