en.Wedoany.com Reported - Sberbank's Robotics Center has opened a new office in Moscow, covering 8,745 square meters and accommodating 300 people, which is 4.5 times larger than its previous space on Kutuzovsky Avenue. The new office is located at Building 2, 23A Avtozavodskaya Street, housing research, engineering, software, and product teams to advance the development of Physical AI (Physical Artificial Intelligence).

Physical AI integrates artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous systems, enabling systems to act in the physical world. The center's work spans multiple directions: some teams specialize in training robots to move in physical environments, manipulate objects, and adapt to changes; another team handles robot structural design, including mechanical structures, part modeling, and motion control systems. The center also develops neural network algorithms for coordination, as well as software components responsible for motion precision, stability, and strength.

Software architecture, engineering platforms, and system reliability form an independent direction at the center, involving tool development, solution integration, and system updates. In the new office, Sberbank developers will continue to develop the humanoid robot Green (Грин), which can already move autonomously, grasp objects in unstructured environments, and actively correct its own errors. The center also advances product and business directions, deploying technology in real-world scenarios, such as the robot Vorker (Воркер) unveiled at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (ПМЭФ).

Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President and Head of the Technology Development Department at Sberbank, stated that the new office was established due to the next stage of development needs for the Robotics Center, and team integration helps accelerate the transformation from Physical AI technologies to applied solutions. Belevtsev also noted that the company is building a universal technology foundation for different scenarios such as trade, logistics, production, and healthcare.
