en.Wedoany.com Reported - To cope with warehouse peak demand and improve operational efficiency, Groupe Blondel has deployed multiple automation solutions from XYZ Robotics at its logistics site in Courcelles-lès-Lens, France. This warehouse, covering 26,000 square meters, belongs to the logistics business unit of T&L service provider and primarily serves large retailers, facing increasingly complex and unpredictable traffic fluctuations. Under Blondel's investment plan exceeding €2.5 million by the end of 2027, automation will focus on the most labor-intensive or repetitive operations. The plan also includes deploying artificial intelligence solutions and inventory drones in core business operations.

At the Lens site, Blondel first deployed XYZ Robotics' dual-arm mobile robots for automatic unloading and feeding cardboard boxes into the conveyor system. This robot, named RockyOne, is designed for high-speed handling of heavy loads, helping to accelerate this critical front-end link in the logistics chain, thereby enhancing the platform's ability to adapt to activity fluctuations. In autumn, the RockyLight robot palletizing solution will be trialed for handling mixed boxes at the end of the chain, followed by the introduction of an automatic wrapping machine that can be remotely controlled via a digital interface. Beyond performance improvements, Groupe Blondel also emphasizes the evolution of logistics careers: at the Courcelles-lès-Lens site, a line controller position will be established to manage automated processes, particularly through an intuitive human-machine interface tablet that can monitor up to 80% to 90% of operations.

Blondel's logistics business unit selected XYZ Robotics' solution at the end of 2025. The company was founded in China in 2018 and subsequently established subsidiaries in Germany, the United States, South Korea, and Japan. Mathieu Menant, Head of Innovation and Continuous Improvement at Groupe Blondel's logistics business unit, stated that facing operational pressure from peak demand, the group aimed to integrate a mature robotic solution to support the team in the most demanding tasks while improving operational efficiency. He noted that XYZ Robotics offers a simple, scalable, and rapidly adaptable solution for different logistics environments, supported by a European team close to customers.
