The work under the early Limited Notice to Proceed phase is expected to cover engineering, planning, and long-lead procurement. The underground development will provide access to the planned bulk sampling area and install the infrastructure required to support mining activities. The two companies expect to finalize a definitive agreement shortly.

David Russell, Chairman and CEO of Galleon, stated that awarding the Limited Notice to Proceed to Aki-Dumas is a significant milestone in the project's advancement, as the West Cache project moves into underground development and the planned bulk sampling phase. Aki-Dumas's early involvement allows the company to advance open-cut preparation and project execution activities while the definitive agreement is being finalized.

West Cache is an advanced-stage exploration project spanning the Bristol, Price, and Ogden townships in northern Ontario. Its 11,570-hectare mineral rights portfolio includes leases, mining occupation permits, and claims located near major mines in the Timmins area. Aki-Dumas is a joint venture between the Matagami First Nation and Dumas Contracting, a subsidiary of STRACON Group Holdings Ltd.
