en.Wedoany.com Reported - India's RailTel has signed a contract worth INR 162 million with Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) to manage the operations of the state's communication network infrastructure. In a notification to the stock exchange, the company confirmed that the work order is an operations and management contract, under which RailTel will act as the managed service provider for the Haryana State Wide Area Network (HSWAN), responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of the HSWAN network, providing connectivity and communication services to various state government departments and offices.

The project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2027, with a total contract value of INR 162 million (inclusive of taxes). RailTel stated that the contract was awarded by a domestic government entity, and that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities hold any interest in the awarding organization, therefore the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction.
According to regulatory documents submitted to the stock exchange, the work order was received at 12:30 PM on July 2, 2026. The notification specifies that the scope of work includes monitoring, maintenance, fault management, and service assurance for the government's connectivity network. RailTel will deploy its existing technical teams and regional operations units to fulfill the contractual obligations within the stipulated timeframe.
This order will strengthen RailTel's position in the government digital infrastructure and managed network services sector. The contract aligns with the company's strategic focus on expanding public sector network management services and providing resilient communication links for administrative functions. This task helps RailTel refine its service portfolio while supporting the continuity of IT operations for the Haryana state government, in line with national priorities for digital governance across the state.
