Wedoany.com Report-May 6, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited reported on May 1 that it sold 234,112 vehicles in April 2025, reflecting a 53% increase from the previous year and a 0.83% rise from March 2025. This achievement marks the eighth consecutive month of sales exceeding 200,000 units, demonstrating sustained market demand.
New energy vehicle sales reached 125,563 units, a 144% year-on-year increase, comprising 53.63% of total sales. Battery electric vehicles contributed 92,360 units, up 199% from last year, while plug-in hybrid electric vehicles added 33,203 units, a 62% rise. From January to April 2025, Geely sold 464,763 new energy vehicles, a 138% surge compared to the same period in 2024.
The Geely brand recorded 192,796 vehicle sales in April, a 63% year-on-year growth. Its Galaxy new energy vehicle sub-brand achieved 96,632 units, soaring 281% from the previous year. Lynk & Co, another Geely brand, sold 27,589 vehicles, up 47%, with new energy vehicles accounting for 55% or 15,204 units of its monthly total.
Zeekr, Geely’s premium new energy vehicle brand, delivered 13,727 vehicles in April, down 15% from last year. On April 15, Zeekr introduced the Zeekr 007GT model, offering three variants priced between 202,900 yuan and 232,900 yuan. The model features advanced intelligent driving capabilities with LiDAR technology and retains Zeekr’s distinctive shooting brake design.
Geely’s export performance saw 24,133 vehicles shipped in April, a 37% decrease from the previous year. For the year-to-date period ending April 2025, Geely’s total sales reached 937,936 vehicles, a 49% increase compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting robust domestic growth despite export challenges.
The strong performance in new energy vehicle sales underscores Geely’s focus on sustainable mobility, with significant contributions from its diverse brand portfolio. The launch of the Zeekr 007GT further enhances its offerings in the premium electric vehicle segment, catering to evolving consumer preferences for advanced technology and design.
