en.Wedoany.com Reported - Oceaneering International has secured a four-year contract with Petrobras to provide remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for offshore operations in Brazil.

Awarded through a competitive tender, the contract will be executed by Oceaneering's Brazilian subsidiary, Marine Production Systems do Brasil (MPS), with operations scheduled to commence in 2027.
Under the agreement, Oceaneering will provide two work-class ROV systems, specialized subsea tooling packages, and monitoring and positioning support services. The deployed equipment will be installed on the Aker Wayfarer, a subsea engineering support vessel (SESV) already chartered by Petrobras from AKOFS Offshore, for subsea intervention, installation, and decommissioning operations in Brazilian waters. This work will be carried out by Oceaneering's local operations team in Brazil.
Simão Silva, Country Manager for Oceaneering in Brazil, stated that through this contract, the company has strengthened its long-term partnership with Petrobras, highlighting its role as a trusted subsea services provider in Brazil and adding long-term visibility to the deepwater market.
Oceaneering has supported Petrobras' subsea engineering activities for over a decade. The company has operated in Brazil for nearly 30 years through MPS, with facilities in Macaé for ROV, survey, subsea intervention tools, and engineering solutions, as well as an onshore remote operations center, and operates an umbilical manufacturing facility in Niterói.
