en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 12, the "Yiwu (Suxi)-Ningbo Zhoushan Port" Emirates Shipping Middle East sea-rail intermodal train, fully loaded with 100 standard containers, successfully made its maiden voyage to the Beilun Port Station of Ningbo Zhoushan Port. Subsequently, these goods will be shipped directly to the Middle East region via Emirates Shipping container vessels.

Yiwu and the central Zhejiang region have strong export demand for the Middle East market. Previously, due to factors such as the international situation and route adjustments, the logistics channel for Yiwu's exports to the Middle East was once disrupted, leading to extended transit times and rising logistics costs. The Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail intermodal team, in coordination with shipping companies and port authorities, successfully opened this logistics channel by precisely coordinating key links such as empty container deployment, in-transit tracking, port station loading and unloading, and customs clearance.

This year, the Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail intermodal team has successively launched the "Yiwu (Suxi)-Ningbo Zhoushan Port" ZIM e-commerce sea-rail intermodal special train and the "Yiwu (Suxi)-Wenzhou Port" sea-rail intermodal train. Since the opening of the Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port, the container throughput has exceeded 228,000 standard containers, with the peak dispatch volume rising to 7 trains per day.
