en.Wedoany.com Reported - July 13, 2026 – Halliburton has been awarded a comprehensive long-term contract for integrated drilling and completion services for the GranMorgu deepwater development project offshore Suriname, operated by TotalEnergies. The project will leverage digital workflows and automation technologies to support well construction.

Under the agreement, Halliburton will provide a digital execution model integrating planning, engineering, and field operations to deliver integrated drilling and completion services. The company stated that the model is designed to enhance drilling performance, accelerate operational learning curves, and reduce overall well construction costs.

“This contract demonstrates the value of integrated execution, collaboration, and digital technology in complex deepwater developments,” said Franco Delano, Halliburton’s Vice President for the Caribbean region. “The GranMorgu project showcases how collaborative teams and advanced well construction capabilities can support safe and efficient delivery while maximizing asset value for our client.”

Halliburton stated it will deploy integrated digital workflows, real-time data, and remote operations capabilities to improve well placement accuracy while connecting surface operations with subsurface execution, thereby enhancing recovery rates and operational efficiency. The project also includes investments to expand local energy infrastructure in Suriname. Halliburton has partnered with local suppliers to upgrade its liquid mud and cement plant facilities and supported the construction of the country’s first drilling and completion workshop equipped with advanced maintenance and repair capabilities.

The company stated it will prioritize local hiring and supplier participation throughout the project to support Suriname’s growing offshore energy industry. Halliburton noted that the GranMorgu development also established what it called the first global offshore well construction alliance among Halliburton, TotalEnergies, and Noble.
