en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Spanish government has published permit notices for two battery energy storage system projects in the province of Badajoz, with a combined installed capacity of 225.6 MW, alongside two solar photovoltaic projects announced during the same period.

FRV has applied for pre-administrative authorization for the 108 MW Gaetana battery energy storage system project. This project will be co-located with the existing 166.4 MW Gaetana solar power plant, forming a hybrid facility with a total installed capacity of 180 MW.

FRV has also applied for pre-administrative and construction authorization for the 117.6 MW Aurea battery energy storage system project. This battery system will complement the existing 171 MW Aurea solar power plant located in the municipality of La Roca de la Sierra, in the province of Badajoz.

The government has simultaneously issued a public utility declaration for Greenalia's 49.35 MW El Tranco solar project in the municipalities of Lubrín and Antas, in the province of Almería, along with its associated grid infrastructure.

Additionally, Abio Power has applied for pre-administrative and construction authorization, a public utility declaration, environmental approval, and land use authorization for the 860 kW L'Arrendament agrivoltaic project in the municipality of Botarell, in the province of Tarragona.

The government noted that the published notices identify the original project developers, and that project ownership may have changed since the applications were submitted.
