en.Wedoany.com Reported - Zodiac Gold Inc. has announced the commencement of a new diamond drilling program at the Arthington discovery within its Todi Gold Project in Liberia, aimed at regional-scale exploration along the high-potential Monterra trend.
Key objectives of this drilling campaign include completing at least 3,000 meters of drilling, with the potential to expand to 5,000 meters based on assay results and mineralization continuity. Exploration will utilize one diamond drill rig, with the possibility of adding a second rig in the fourth quarter of 2026 to accelerate progress. Drilling at Arthington will be conducted concurrently with the company's ongoing exploration activities at the Ben Ben to Youth Camp target area along the southeastern trend, aiming to demonstrate the broader scale potential of the Arthington discovery and, combined with existing exploration, confirm and identify regional-scale opportunities across the Monterra trend. The program is designed to expand the known mineralization along strike and at depth, increase geological confidence through higher drilling density, and advance the company toward a planned mineral resource estimate.
David Kol, President and CEO of Zodiac Gold, stated that following three highly successful drilling campaigns totaling over 6,800 meters and exceptional mineralization intercepts, the company believes Arthington is developing into a significant gold system with substantial growth potential. This 3,000-meter program aims to materially expand the known mineralization footprint along strike and at depth, while increasing drilling density to support the planned mineral resource estimate, with the program set to increase to 5,000 meters if results continue to warrant it.
To date, exploration at the Arthington discovery has returned significant gold (Au) intercepts, including: 18.00 meters @ 4.67 g/t Au (including 1.00 meter @ 55.90 g/t Au); 9.65 meters @ 7.50 g/t Au (including 3.00 meters @ 20.36 g/t Au); 6.00 meters @ 10.60 g/t Au (including 3.00 meters @ 20.45 g/t Au); 25.90 meters @ 2.10 g/t Au (including 9.14 meters @ 4.20 g/t Au). Additionally, a drill hole near the western portion of the modeled mineralized zone returned 1.05 meters @ 8.98 g/t Au and 7 meters @ 0.33 g/t Au. Sampling from 13 trenches west of the Arthington discovery returned grades up to 32.8 g/t Au, while channel sampling results from an artisanal mining adit 340 meters west of the discovery returned 17 meters @ 0.7 g/t Au, including 4 meters @ 1.99 g/t Au and 1.00 meter @ 1.47 g/t Au.
Zodiac Gold Inc. (ZAU:TSX.V; ZAU:XFRA; ZAUIF:OTCQB) is a West African gold exploration company focused on the Todi Gold Project in Liberia. Its 2026 exploration strategy includes 3,600 meters of trenching and 14,000 meters of diamond drilling, to be completed along the 16-kilometer Monterra trend from the Arthington discovery to Youth Camp. A drone-based magnetic and LiDAR survey is underway to optimize drill targets and support the planned mineral resource estimate.
