en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ) has completed a high-resolution airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey over its Lake George antimony-tungsten-gold project in New Brunswick, Canada, covering an area of 56.66 square kilometers with a line spacing of 50 meters and an average terrain clearance of approximately 23 meters.
The survey was conducted by Novatem Airborne Geophysics from June 21 to 25, totaling 1,194 line kilometers, utilizing dual-beam cesium magnetometers and three-component very low frequency electromagnetic receivers. The "Tungmony Project" covered by this survey includes five mineral claims spanning 4,392.4 hectares, surrounding the historically producing Lake George antimony mine on three sides, distributed along a potential strike length of approximately 13 kilometers. The historic Lake George mine was once the largest primary antimony producer in North America, operating intermittently from 1876 to 1996.
"We have assembled one of the largest strategic land positions around the historic Lake George antimony mine," said CEO Kal Malhi. "This new geophysical dataset provides the necessary technical foundation to systematically evaluate the immense exploration potential of the project area."
The new airborne data is expected to improve geological interpretation by identifying major structures, fault systems, concealed intrusions, and other geological features that may control antimony, tungsten, and gold mineralization in the Lake George area. HZ plans to use this data to guide target generation for its 2026 field program, which includes exploration and mapping, soil geochemistry, and induced polarization surveys. Based on the results of the field program, the company has planned up to 3,000 meters of diamond drilling.
The Government of New Brunswick has selected Avenir Minerals, a subsidiary of Agnico Eagle Mines (NYSE:AEM), to explore and potentially restart the historic Lake George antimony mine through an exclusive exploration agreement. Antimony is designated as a critical mineral in Canada and the United States, with China announcing antimony export restrictions in August 2024, effective September 2024. As of early July 2026, antimony prices were approximately $52,000 per ton, having previously approached a peak of nearly $59,750 per ton ($85,608.5) in mid-2025.
