en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian-listed company Brasnova Energy Materials Inc. (TSXV: BEM) announced on July 14, 2026, that surface rock sampling at its Capela Gold Project in Pintadas, Bahia, Brazil, has returned "encouraging" results. Of the 23 surface rock samples, 22 returned gold assays ranging from 0.241 g/t to 4.13 g/t, confirming a north-south trending mineralized corridor approximately 120 meters long and 25 meters wide. Among them, sample BGP-ROCK-002 yielded a peak grade of 4.13 g/t gold.

Brasnova Energy Materials Inc. is an exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) in Canada, trading under the ticker symbol BEM. The company focuses on the exploration and development of critical minerals and precious metals, with the Capela Gold Project being one of its core assets in Brazil.

The Capela Gold Project is located in the municipality of Pintadas, Bahia, Brazil, within a significant gold district. The property was initially discovered during geological mapping for graphite exploration, where a gossan was identified in a pyrite-bearing granodiorite outcrop, with rock samples returning gold grades of up to 1,373 ppb (approximately 1.37 g/t). The project is centered on a dome-shaped granitoid intrusion, classified as pyrite-bearing granodiorite, which intrudes into surrounding mafic/ultramafic rocks and metasedimentary rocks.

These sampling results confirm the presence of continuous near-surface gold mineralization at the Capela target, with the mineralized zone remaining open along strike and laterally. Gold mineralization occurs within sheared and hydrothermally altered granite to granodiorite, with observed potassic, silicic, and sulfide alteration, dominated by disseminated pyrite (approximately 1-3% by volume), accompanied by minor chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite.

The Capela Project is situated in a regionally significant gold district, surrounded by several large gold mines, including the Jacobina Gold Mine operated by Pan American Silver (producing approximately 197,000 ounces of gold in 2024 at a grade of 1.77 g/t) and the Santa Luz-Fazenda Gold Mine operated by Equinox Gold (combined annual production of approximately 135,000 ounces at grades of 1.34-1.8 g/t). The regional metallogenic setting further highlights the exploration potential of the Capela Project.

Based on these positive sampling results, the company plans to advance follow-up exploration work, including a two-phase soil sampling program (collecting up to 390 samples over approximately 1.4 square kilometers) and a 13-line ground magnetic survey (273 stations), to further delineate gold anomalies, map structures, and optimize drill targets. If subsequent work yields positive results, the company will proceed to trenching and diamond drilling stages.

The surface sampling results achieved by Brasnova Energy Materials at the Capela Gold Project have validated the presence of continuous near-surface gold mineralization in the area, providing a clear direction for its future exploration efforts.
