en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Brazilian Merchant Marine Fund Management Committee (Cdfmm) has approved a package of 15 projects related to domestic shipbuilding, modernization, and repair.

The Bahia State Port Authority (Codeba) published details of this milestone on its website, noting that the proposals cover different areas of maritime and inland navigation, involving the states of Amazonas, Pará, Amapá, Tocantins, Bahia, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Santa Catarina.

Among the approved projects is the construction of the Private Use Terminal (TUP) at the Port of Ilhéus (BA) South, managed by Bahia Mineração (Bamin), which is linked to the Pedra de Ferro project and the East-West Integration Railway (Fiol). The portfolio also includes a proposal from Petrobras to build five gas carriers for transporting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with plans including vessels for maritime transport.

The approved proposals also include the construction of vessels for inland navigation and offshore support, ship maintenance and repair services, and projects related to port infrastructure. Among these are the construction of 12 barges for grain transport in the Northern Arc logistics corridor, new vessels for crossing the Araguaia River, and the expansion of the bulk agricultural terminal at the Port of Paranaguá (PR).
