en.Wedoany.com Reported - Torex Gold Resources Inc. has unveiled its strategic project Los Reyes, located in the municipality of Cosalá, with a total planned investment exceeding $500 million, aiming to become one of the most promising development projects in the state's mining industry.

Company executives detailed during a working meeting with Diego Armando Aguerrebere Espitia, Sinaloa's Minister of Economic Development, that the project launched this year with an initial exploration investment of $18 million. The first phase involves 50 to 60 employees engaged in drilling and technical research. Additionally, approximately $40 million is expected to be allocated in 2027 as part of subsequent development stages.
The development plan is expected to generate significant employment in the region. During the construction phase, it is projected to create 1,000 direct jobs. Subsequently, during the operational phase, it is expected to provide 800 permanent positions, driving social welfare and economic growth in Cosalá and surrounding areas.
In response, Minister of Economic Development Diego Aguerrebere emphasized that these investments reflect international confidence in the state. He also noted that, in line with the directives of Governor Yeraldine Bonilla Valverde, the Sinaloa government will continue to support strategic projects to enhance competitiveness.
The official stressed that the people of Sinaloa and Cosalá can access jobs with fair wages, and these companies place great importance on ensuring project sustainability and adhering to the highest environmental standards.
