en.Wedoany.com Reported - ADM has announced a series of investment plans to expand its oilseed crushing capacity in North America, aiming to meet the growing demand from the renewable fuel and other vegetable oil markets. These investments will prioritize upgrades at four U.S. production facilities, with most projects expected to be completed between the end of 2028 and early 2029.

Gary McGuigan, President of ADM's North American Agricultural Services and Oilseeds business, stated that these investments reflect the company's continued focus on targeted growth opportunities, as long-term demand trends are creating new opportunities for farmers and customers. He noted that strong demand, supported by U.S. biofuel policies, is benefiting farmers and the broader U.S. agricultural sector. The company has chosen to build on existing facilities and adopt tailored enhancement plans for each plant to maintain investment efficiency and flexibility, ultimately achieving a significant increase in capacity across its North American network.

According to the plan, ADM will expand capacity through targeted upgrades, leveraging existing infrastructure to boost throughput. The first batch of concentrated investments across four U.S. production facilities has distinct focuses: the Frankfort, Indiana plant will improve and optimize storage facilities and implement multiple equipment upgrades, with completion expected by the end of 2028; the Deerfield, Missouri plant will focus on unlocking capacity in conveying, flaking, extraction, and utility systems, with completion expected in late 2028 or early 2029.

The Lincoln, Nebraska crushing plant will undergo meal storage facility upgrades and debottlenecking modifications to eliminate current constraints, with completion expected by the end of 2028. The Spiritwood, North Dakota plant, operated by Green Bison, a joint venture between ADM and Marathon Petroleum Corporation, will benefit from operational optimization and selected equipment improvements, with completion expected in mid-2028.
