ACTEGA's New Sealant Plant in Foshan, China, to Be Completed by End of September

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 25, ACTEGA began construction of a new sealant production facility at its existing manufacturing base in Foshan, Guangdong, with the project scheduled for completion by the end of September 2026. The new production platform will manufacture high-end and standard sealants for food and beverage cans targeting the Asian metal packaging market, operating alongside the existing coatings and composites businesses at the Foshan base. The project's investment amount and designed production capacity have not yet been disclosed.

The new facility will adopt production technology from ACTEGA Artística, ACTEGA's global sealant center in Spain. The technology transfer scope includes sealant formulations, production processes, and standardized manufacturing procedures. ACTEGA has previously established sealant production capabilities in Brazil and the United States, and this technology transfer extends the production system to the Foshan base in China.

Once completed, the Foshan production platform will be equipped with local production, sales, and technical service functions, and will be integrated with ACTEGA's ROTARflow digital system for monitoring and managing sealant film weight on can-making production lines. The company has already conducted relevant technical training in China and Thailand, covering sealant application, production process adjustments, and on-site technical services.

ACTEGA Foshan is located in Beijiao Industrial Park, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Its existing operations cover metal packaging, paper and paperboard, and flexible packaging products, and it is equipped with an application laboratory and a technical service team. ACTEGA has also established an office and application laboratory in Bangkok, Thailand, and the Foshan production base in China, together with the Bangkok technical facility, will jointly support related business in the Asian region.
