en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 8, the National Transport Confederation of Brazil (CNT) released the state-by-state project list for the "2026 CNT Transport and Logistics Plan" covering 27 states. The plan brings together a total of 2,837 transport infrastructure projects, with estimated investment needs of R$2.03 trillion, spanning highways, railways, ports, waterways, airports, logistics hubs, and urban transport. Project stages include planning, studies, proposed, and under construction.

Of the 2,837 projects, 2,509 are national integrated transport projects and 328 are urban transport projects. CNT first released this nationwide plan in July 2026, and this update adds the project breakdown and investment scale details for the 27 states. The total investment requirement for national projects is equivalent to approximately 16% of Brazil's 2025 GDP.

São Paulo state has the largest project investment scale, with 312 projects and estimated investment of R$493.7 billion; Minas Gerais state has 351 projects with investment needs of R$289.4 billion; and Rio Grande do Sul state has a project scale of R$125.8 billion.

Bahia state has project investment needs of R$93.2 billion, of which highway projects account for approximately R$47.5 billion and railway projects approximately R$35.3 billion. Rio de Janeiro state has 121 projects listed, with total investment of R$92.9 billion, with the investment focus concentrated on railway projects.

Amazonas state has total project investment needs of R$30.3 billion, of which highway projects account for approximately R$13.7 billion and waterway projects approximately R$8 billion. The waterway component includes the implementation of improvements and navigability upgrades along 10,253 kilometers of waterways.

The national plan previously released by CNT distributes projects across transport modes including highways, railways, waterways, and aviation, and serves as a project pipeline for federal and state infrastructure planning, concessions, PPPs, and other investment arrangements.
